3 Good Ways to Ease Menstrual Symptoms






Many women dread the symptoms that accompany the menstrual cycle every month.  Although there are many effective pain relievers on the market, it is always best to try and defeat these symptoms naturally.  Some effective natural treatments are listed below.  Before trying anything new, it is important to consult with a physician.

Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar

Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar actively works to slow down the menstrual flow.  The way this is done, is by beginning to drink the apple cider in warm water a week prior to the start of the menstrual cycle.  This is further explained when it is said, “Apple cider vinegar  may ease bloating and provide relief for menstrual cramps, as, according to ‘The Female Body: An Owner's Manual,’ it is a natural diuretic. Castor oil

Castor oil is another way to minimize the discomfort and pain of the monthly cycle.  Simply rub the oil over the uterus area and cover it with gauze.  The process of applying Castor Oil is explained when it is said, “You can similarly massage some hand-warmed castor oil over the lower abdomen to relieve period pain and menstrual cramping.” Heat cannot be used in combination with the castor oil during the menstrual cycle.  Heat and castor oil can be applied when the cycle is over to reduce fibroids, if any are present


Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne Pepper is another good remedy for menstrual cramping.  We are all familiar with the powdered seasoning, but for women the easiest way to take it is in pill form.  Cayenne pepper pills are available in health food stores in different dosages.  There is even a cayenne pepper pill that is cool, to ease the burning sensation when swallowed.  This type of cayenne is known as Cool Cayenne pepper pills. Cayenne pepper is known to enhance the strength and structure of capillaries in both veins and arteries, which helps provide adequate circulation, dilation and constriction, reducing excessive blood flow through the uterine lining.” This is a good way to control heavy blood flow.  Please use Cayenne Pepper under the supervision of a doctor, it may cause irritation and a variety of side effects. There are people who have no symptoms at all when they use it, but it is better to be cautious. 

The monthly menstrual cycle can be burdensome for many women.  With these simple but effective remedies, women can tolerate it better.

Making Lunch Special for Kids

I remember as a child, adults asking me and my classmates what our favorite subject was in school.  Most of us gave the regular answers, such as math and science.  There was one particular kid who looked up at the teacher and said with confidence, lunch.  As a child I thought that was strange answer; how could eating be his favorite part of the day at school, and was lunch a subject?  As an adult I have learned that there are ways to make lunch a child’s highlight for the day.  It’s not just the eating part that the children will love, but it is what accompanies the lunch that is important.  Here are some ideas to create that special lunch for your child.

 

Baked Goodies
The night before school bake some items together with your child.  Baking is a great way of bonding and creating special recipes together. Have a couple of recipe books handy and ask your child to choose what he or she would like to make.  When the recipe is complete, put the lunch together. Put extra baked goods for the child to share with friends. There will definitely be excitement when the child opens his or her lunch the next day, and explains to friends that he or she help to create the treats.  



Writing Notes
For centuries, note writing or letter writing has been a positive form of communication.  It is found that people are able to express their thoughts and feelings easily in writing than with talking. Why not send a note today in your child’s lunch.  One of the best ways to do this with your child is by purchasing special writing paper, envelopes, and pens (kids love colored gel pens).  When preparing lunches the night before, have your child write a note to you and at the same time you write a note. No one should look at their notes until the next day at lunch time.  Doing it this way makes it exciting and the child cannot wait to open his or her lunch bag.  

How About a Joke
Giving a person something to laugh about during the day is always appreciated.  Try finding and inserting little jokes into your child’s lunch bag.  The jokes can also be taped to the inner cover of the lunch bag.  This could be done once or twice a week, but it can stay taped to the lunch box until the following week when a new joke is added.  Encourage your child to find their own jokes, by going online or looking through magazines such as Highlights For Kids.  



 Having lunch is an important part of the day, because we need to eat and nutrition is important.  Create excitement for your child at the thought of having lunch, by following some of the ideas provided above.

There comes a time in life, when people become aware that it’s difficult to stay away from the good stuff, and oatmeal is one of them.  How is oatmeal good for us?
